Who is
My Brick Pit
We commenced in Burleigh in July 2024, but have been a long time in development.
Natasha Crow, the founder and owner has been a Gold Coast public health psychologist over the last 20 years, experienced in working with children and adults, with health and mental health presentations.
While working in Wellbeing Psychology role within Mudgerraba Special School, she experienced the benefits of Lego-based therapies for complex young people, both in their engagement with the therapy and the development of their social skills from this program. Natasha became accredited in Lego-based therapy and the Serious Play program.
Over the last 18 months, Natasha has further developed the model, and collected the millions of required Lego blocks to now has opened the Lego Centre based in Burleigh. While the Lego is the visible component, the business aims to
- increase social interactions,
- provide a safe place, a sense of fun and community,
- increase learning and improve overall wellbeing.
Currently available are :
NDIS support work sessions
Lego Board Game sessions – Structured social skills, with minimal support offered
Duplo Builders – Developmental playgroup
Lego-based therapy – Psychology led small group activities
Psychology sessions co-located with Building Minds Psychology
NDIS participant supported work experience sessions.
We do allow mainstream events as well – which allows more activity for possible disability employment
- Lego Club, Lego Birthday parties, Build sessions, Hosting other clubs, Sip n’ build sessions.
